Scott lays there with his head cracked open...DEAD!. The car crashes into a pole and Scott is thrown through the windshield. The car skids. In a split second, one tire explodes! Too late. She begs Scott to slow down. But Jane does not like it and keeps hers on. Scott takes his seat belt off on the highway and sarts to do 120mph. Scott's mother Diane said to him "put your seat belt on and no speeding on the road". After lunch at his mothers house, Scott and Jane, his girlfriend, decide to head back to Mankato from the cities.

Neat backward storytelling. Does Scott do this just to spite his mother? His motivations aren't clear to me. I think if you read this out loud, you'll catch some awkward phrases.
